Strengthening the position of women

The women are the backbone of our community as there are many absent fathers in our society. Many women in our society face the challenge of raising families without the support of their husbands; some that are having husbands also face an additional risk of being abused by their husbands. At a societal level, outside their homes, the women and children are also abused. The country is struggling to bring under control Gender Based Violence and women and children are on the receiving end.

As a result of the above challenges, the organisation in partnership with Trans World Radio (TWR) is running biblical sessions on social challenges that are faced by women in our society. The belief is that once we have equipped our women, then the entire society will be changed for the better. Boys will be able to respect their mothers, sisters, girl child and later their wives. The women are also encouraged to prioritise self-development and that will reduce dependence on their abusive husbands.
